is this event confirmed or not?
why not do it the weekend of 24-26 September?
24th is public holiday.
means more likelihood of CT riders going up.
i am keen to go up, but need to know if it 100% confirmed. i might have to drive up with equipment, family and all son's medical supplies, etc.
long weekend makes more sense...

Mass and Lloyd are the ones putting this together. They went last week to a meeting to confirm the dates for the 4-5th. One of the reasons is the students are on holiday.
We are trying to organize transport to get the majority of the riders up there so this race can happen. Otherwise it might be a no go.
As for now it's happening.

i think it is silly, with a long weekend just 2 weeks later, which makes more sense for guys traveling up. i was prepared to drive up or even fly to take my family with, but it is not worth it over a normal weekend...

The Race is definitly going ahead. The Stellenbosch skaters wanted this weekend. It's difficult to find a weekend that suits everyone. The race would have been in June but the World Cup messed with that plan. For next year there is a posibility of having two races (Schanskop and Krugers) on consecutive weekends either side of June 16. What do you think about that?

This is an important meeting for all the riders that are making the mission up to "King of the Fort" race @ Schanskop Pretoria.
Meeting place, Rafiki's, the lower balcony has been booked for us this Friday, 20th aug, 19:30 sharp!
This is your chance to find out about accommodation/transport and fill in indemnity forms plus entry forms.
Everyone is welcome whether your going or not...there will be a big screen with plenty of longboarding vids.

As you may or may not know, Lasertec Street Luge will be at the Skanskop Race. We will be sponsoring a set of bearings and/or a bearing cleaner to the luge and butt board categories. Get ready to race.

This is a message to all the riders attending the King Of The Fort Downhill Challenge in Pretoria.
King Of the Fort Downhill Challenge 2010
All riders must fill in an indemnity/entry form in order to compete.
Pre paid entry fee for the weekend is R300. There is a cut off date for pre paying and that is Wednesday the 1st September. If you do not pay by the 1st thereafter you will have to pay on the day of the event at a fee of R350.
Once you have paid please send a fax of payment plus your indemnity/entry form signed to 088 021 790 1223 or you can email
